An effective example of an application of the mantra given in goal 12, observing the required principles, is a hike through moving crowds, for example, towards or away from large events. It is a good choice not to walk against the current, but with the movement itself, albeit at a significantly slower speed and, depending on the situation, at the edge of the stream.

The conscious walking and the simultaneous inner recitation of the mantra are of deep significance. Those who are standing pause in the recitation.

It may come as a surprise that we assume that this particular practice should only be applied for a few minutes or moments. Each practitioner must feel to what extent of inner tension they can apply it in each case. We therefore advise you to start carefully and to pay close attention to the effect on your own spiritual and mental self.

Those who are looking for a reference or key to this occult practice may consider this picture by Nicolas Roerich:

From: ‘Kryptogramme des Orients’ by Josefine Saint-Hilairi (pseudonym of H. Roerich), chapter ‘The Signs of Christ’

“The star of Allahabad showed the way. And so We visited Sarnath and Gaya. Everywhere We found the desecration of religion. On the way back, at full moon, the memorable saying of Christ happened. During the nocturnal march, the guide missed the way. After some searching, I found Christ sitting on a sand hill, looking into the moonlit sand. I said to Him: ‘We have lost the way, we must await the signs of the stars.’ ‘Rossul M., what does a way mean to us when the whole world awaits us?’ He took His bamboo staff and drew a square around the imprint of His foot and said: ‘Verily I say: with human feet.’ Then He pressed the palms of His hands into the sand and drew a square there also, saying, ‘Verily I say, with human hands.’ Between the two squares He drew a kind of pillar and above it connected the two squares with an arch. He said, ‘Oh, how Aum will penetrate human consciousness! Here I drew a pistil and above it an arch, thus establishing the foundation in four directions. When, through human hands and human feet, the temple is built in which the pistil laid low by Me blossoms, then let the builders tread My path. Why wait for a path when it lies before Us?’ — He stood up and erased the drawing with the bamboo stick. When the name of the temple is pronounced, the inscription will appear. Remembering my constellation, a square and nine stars will shine above the temple. The sign of the foot and the hand will be inscribed above the cornerstones. Thus He spoke on the eve of the full moon, and the heat in the desert was great.”

This quote can be found in the book “AGNI YOGA”.

It spans an arc that covers 2000 human years. May the  Wanderer, as Mahatma Morya calls the Christ in the books of Agni Yoga, continue to be followed by wanderers even 2000 years later. In their ‘journey’ described at the beginning of this text, the symbol of the foot has been fulfilled.

Mahatma M. puts it this way:

‘Our Brotherhood can be cited as an example. Without an understanding of earthly conditions, it could not exist. Those who reject earthly conditions deprive themselves of mercy and compassion. But without these qualities, spiritual progress is impossible. The teaching of a renewed world cannot live in the midst of hard-heartedness. The humanities cannot develop where the heart is silent.’
