At the end of the first 25 years of a century, a special meeting takes place in Shamballa.
‘During these secret meetings held at the end of the first twenty-five years of each century, the Lord of the World (the planetary Logos) observes the course of the decision with the members of his council to see how far the will of the Hierarchy is in accordance with the aspect of the divine will that should be expressed in the three worlds as a result of their decision.’ (From The Teaching of the Tibetan, given by A. Bailey)
In 2025, the current cycle ends, in which the aforementioned meeting takes place every hundred years in the planetary head centre, i.e. in Shamballa. This meeting is followed by further conferences of the Hierarchy in the planetary heart centre in various compositions.
At its meeting on the full moon in April, how did the Council of Shamballa assess the results of all the efforts of the last 100 years in relation to the plans of the spiritual hierarchies? And from this perspective, what is the outlook for the next 100 years? In the Council of Shamballa, the three main energetic lines of the subtle planetary events, the Hierarchy, are represented by the Manu, the World Teacher Christ and the Mahachohan.
Summarising the descriptions of the Tibetan (D. K.), who imparted the most comprehensive spiritual wisdom teaching to humanity in the books of A. Bailey, regarding the expectations and possibilities for the future (from the perspective of 1945-49), it is more than questionable whether the verdict, even with all the goodwill available, will still be positive.
Quote from the Tibetan: ‘I will not go into detail about the evil that holds the world in bondage. Enough is already known, and a small number (small in relation to the many millions) of hierarchical workers are fighting in all departments of life to make humanity aware of the danger in which it finds itself and of the finality of the decision that the next two generations will be forced to make.’ (Written in February 1949)
It is significant that in previous years he had been much more hopeful about the future and then, at the end of his thirty years of work, issued this very clear warning. The connection becomes clear with the so-called ‘door to evil,’ about which he wrote in 1949 that humanity must close it. The continuing connection between this gate and the conflict in Palestine, which is currently very much in the news again, has already been mentioned in other texts.
It is incumbent upon the Manu or his representative during his participation in the Council of Shamballa to draw conclusions from a retrospective view of the last 100 years and to declare his readiness for consistent action.
The following description is important in this regard: ‘The ashrams on the atmic planes are under the rule of Master M., who promotes the aspect of will in its developed forms and (as the Old Commentary puts it) adds darkness to the light so that the stars appear, for in light the stars do not shine, but in darkness there is no diffused light, only concentrated points of brilliance.’ And in addition: ‘…the destructive power of the atmic plane of action.’ The destructive power is therefore in the hands of the great spirits of Shamballa.
Both in H. Roerich’s diaries and in at least one work by the Tibetan, the possibility (probability) of a ‘new (planetary) heaven and a new Earth’ is mentioned.
Thus, the Manu or his representative, in agreement with Sanat Kumara, could declare his willingness to use the atmic forces for a great transformation into a ‘new Earth.’ As we know from H.P.B.’s The Secret Doctrine, the surface of the planet is cyclically devastated, alternately by fire and water. Since the last massive change of this kind occurred in the form of water in the biblical Flood and caused the downfall of Atlantis, the next one will be caused by fire. It might be enlightening to consider this higher cyclical law in the context of the apparently man-made warming of the planet in the form of the current climate crisis, with its annual new global heat records and an exponentially rising temperature level, as last occurred a little over 100,000 years ago, which coincides with the emergence of our current 5th cultural epoch. The decision to use it lies with the World Teacher, who decides on behalf of the planetary heart centre on the one hand, but also in the larger context on behalf of the solar Word on the other.
The ashrams of the planetary heart centre are located in the centre of gravity on the buddhic plane. The Tibetan’s indication that Christ as world teacher is about to be exalted and that his successor for the office of Master K. H. should be taken into account. Such a change can take place at any time or may already have taken place.
When the Manu or his representative, as described, declares his readiness to act and the World Teacher (Christ), who has the primacy of decision, agrees, the Mahachohan (Master R.) must also give his consent. The ashrams of this third group, under the leadership of the Mahachohan, have a close relationship with the Buddhist plane for their leadership group and with the higher mental plane for the other members, and thus also a relationship with the planetary throat centre. They still have an intense connection to the outer physical plane. Thus, the Mahachohan’s vote for the third energetic line during the hearing in the Council could be a veto. He would combine this with the intention to continue to do everything possible to save the physical planet, despite the slim prospects of healing the manifold crises.
The possible process of ‘division’ of humanity and the other kingdoms of nature in the event of a unanimous decision by the Council has already been described by us in other texts.
The meeting that took place in the Council of Shamballa may lead to further consultations in the coming months. It is very likely that the three votes cast so far were not unanimous, as described above.
This would leave two paths open: either complete transformation in a process brought about by Shamballa, or a long struggle for survival with an uncertain outcome and much avoidable suffering, corresponding to the current state of the planet and its inhabitants.
We would like to add another quote from the Tibetan: “Humanity has never really lived according to the teachings it has been given. The spiritual impression, whether transmitted by Christ, Krishna or Buddha and passed on to the masses by their disciples, has not yet been expressed as hoped. People do not live according to what they already know; they do not express their knowledge in practice; they cause a short circuit of the light; they do not practise self-discipline; greedy desires and unlawful ambition rule them, not inner knowledge. To express it scientifically and from an esoteric point of view: spiritual impression is interrupted, and a disturbance has been caused in the divine circuit. It is the task of the world disciples to restore this current and remove the disturbance. This is the main problem facing the ashrams today.”
