In our incarnated state, we measure time subjectively based on the lifespan of our physical body.

This kind of measurement of time does not allow us to connect with the rhythms of the transcendental, or rather the ethereal life, because in this plane there is no death in the physical sense.

Those who can participate in the subtle life will experience how work, research and development are carried out there. Mahatma Morya gives scattered clues in the books and diaries. Descriptions are also given in the book ‘Return from Tomorrow’ by George Ritchie. From such clues, it becomes clear that the subtle events and developments there manifest in physical life with a temporal delay that cannot be specified.

It may be asked why harmful results are not simply withheld. The answer is simple: that which can be (also) harmful on the physical plane is not simultaneously harmful on the subtle planes, and independently of this, withholding is not permanently possible (just as little as an average person can withhold from incarnation).

Mahatma Morya mentioned the possibility of nuclear fission as early as the 1930s, in the diaries of Helena Roerich. (26.7.1930: ‘Lord, can we talk about splitting the atom?’ Answer: ‘It is better to wait’.) It would take more than ten years before the realisation took place physically. The application of this discovery and the responsible use of it are in the hands of humanity. The Brotherhood can inspire mentally to initiate a meaningful application, but in the end it is humanity itself that decides.

Who actively participates in the work in the subtle world? It is easier to start by saying who cannot participate:

Those who deny an existence on the ‘other side’ of life.

Those who have rigid expectations and preconceived ideas about an alleged heaven or paradise; for they will not find what they seek and will thus be disappointed. As a result, they lack a post-mortal connection to the subtle reality, in which they can no longer find their way.

Wishful thinking such as that of a comfortable, eternal heaven, of ‘100 virgins’ waiting there as a reward for alleged martyrdom, of personally appearing before God’s throne and many more of this kind, which are eagerly provided by religions and churches, must ultimately prove to be illusions. Their non-fulfilment and the resulting disappointment form a large pool for the influx into extremist movements in subsequent incarnations, as can be observed on the planet at the moment.

After a mental-astral recollection of their past incarnation (which can be very painful), these human beings will ‘go to sleep’ until the next rebirth. Every religion that does not include the other side of life as truth has erected an astral-mental wall. Only the next incarnation offers new possibilities.

Those who can participate in the work have accumulated a knowledge base from the teachings that helps them to orientate themselves and become active in the subtle world.

These explanations make it clear that the operation of our website with the offered, contemporary theosophical content can be a way to give more people a first insight or increased access to Theosophy. The best possible effect comes from reading text by text from the beginning, absorbing it and rereading it if necessary.

However, our means of making the site better known are limited. Therefore, we will soon create an opportunity to multiply the means for distribution in digital form through donations.

When H.P. Blavatsky introduced Theosophy to the West in 1875, she and M. and K.H. chose spectacular occult practices (in the form of produced ‘phenomena’) to reach the public, with the Masters’ support. The Brotherhood later decided that such embellishments would no longer be used in the future. No more magic, magical experiments or ‘channelling’ are wanted. The subjective errors and deceptions, especially in so-called ‘channelling’, can be recognised as fallacies by anyone in the know.

Only the teaching counts.
