The age-old freedom of mankind to make our own decisions has, over the last 100 years, led (with ups and downs) to sufficient opportunities for a development in freedom without war. After the world war, there were certainly phases that gave hope for a better future, but today, from a global perspective, this development is in decline. The dark evil of fascism has returned in digital and physical form and is spreading like a highly contagious epidemic.
If the image of a coming high representative of the spiritual hierarchy (described in the legends as a rider on a white horse) as outlined in the books of the Tibetan master D.K. is applied to the person who is preparing to destroy democracy in the USA, this expectation is invalidated. Likewise, the term ‘messiah’ is wrongly applied to this person. With this unforgivable aberration, the evangelical movement in the USA has deeply ‘sinned’. The unethical content of the Old Testament is poison for the mind (mental) and the heart (astral).
The spiritual hierarchy of the advanced has finally withdrawn from their physical outposts. Their members or their representatives are no longer to be regarded as gurus. The status of a spiritual teacher has been raised to a higher level in the subtle world.
Those who consciously incarnate from the subtle world to help convey the current state of teaching (if this is a focus of their work) and try to work in the spirit of spiritual ethics in a wide range of areas of life.
Just 100 years ago, a good command of the second stage of initiation (being able to control feelings such as hatred and fear and to show true compassion for humanity beyond the personal level) was sufficient to establish contact with the subtle world and to work in the physical. Today, however, a sufficient fund of knowledge of the theosophical teachings is also required. In other words, the constant light in the soul must be significantly strengthened by spiritual knowledge and development on the mental plane. Only in this way does the probability of working with the Hierarchy increase during the physical life, even if often only unconsciously. After completing the third stage of initiation, which is clearly recognisable to the spiritual hierarchy by the quality of the light in the soul, the person settles on one of the numerous ‘islands’ in the subtle world and thus becomes a member of an ashram. Only from this point on can one speak of a direct relationship with the centre of the respective ashram in the sense of contact with the teacher or, in other words, with the master. According to the guidelines of the Brotherhood, there is no jumping from island to island. However, this does not mean that cooperation is excluded. This is the goal and aspiration for the entire group of the Subtle Island World.
The required ethics are described in the theosophical teachings and are accessible to everyone. The basic knowledge and parts of the advanced knowledge are exemplified in the more than 100 texts on this website. Everyone is free to deepen and supplement it in the available literature.
The constitution of the spiritual hierarchy with its ashrams, the masters (initiates) and disciples has suffered a loss with the departure of Master Morya, who is missed. His succession is in progress.
A text from H. Roerich’s diaries is to remind us of Mahatma Morya at this point:
Diary 20.11.31
‘The concepts of the will must be clearly recognised and distinguished. The cerebral (brain) will has become the stronghold of the West, while the East has remained in the stronghold of the heart. In suggestion, the Western hypnotist uses the will by tensing the centres of the limbs and eyes; but this emanation is not only soon exhausted, but also leads to fatigue and, above all, has a very limited range. Voluntary suggestion does not allow for spatial reach, but the heart of the East does not need to strain the limbs, does not squeeze the energy unnecessarily, but sends its thoughts without limiting the place. Heart suggestion as a natural channel of communication does not harm either the suggestor or the recipient. The western path is always visible from the outside, but the eastern path has nothing external. On the contrary, the suggestor does not look at the recipient because he has an image of the goal in his heart. There are many undisputed advantages of working with the heart, but above all, it requires an awareness of the importance of the heart.’
The Heart Mantra we give, the greeting of the light in the soul, fully corresponds to the description quoted above.
If, without falsifying or changing the text, a slowly growing group in the outer world emerges from its application, the effect can be doubly helpful: on the one hand, to enable more souls during and after physical incarnation to make the transition to cooperation, and on the other hand, to strengthen the spark of hope for the solution of negative global development and thus support the possibility of turning back to the good. The mantra can be recited inwardly, meditated upon or chanted. As always, the greatest effect comes from simplicity. All those addicted to salvation who seek contact and advancement through ‘channelling’ with a selfish motive could find a way out of their paradoxical situation by participating in this theosophical service (see milestone 42). Those who want to be liberated must help others to follow the path of liberation.
